In Oklahoma, the word Bedlam brings to mind the spirited rivalry between Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. With the Bedlam Run, it is these same rivals working together to benefit their community. Now you can provide scholarship opportunities to Tulsa area high school students to attend both main or Tulsa campuses of OSU and OU as the proceeds are divided between the OU Club of Tulsa and OSU Alumni Association of Tulsa Scholarship Funds. Combined, the two alumni organizations award over $60,000 in scholarships each year. In addition, they benefit the Tulsa community by hosting a wellness fair during the event. This year marks the 8th annual Bedlam Run in downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome District and the 100th anniversary of the first ever Bedlam competition. The start is at Fleet Feet Sports and the finish at Albert G’s BBQ. 2016 saw 1,200 runners participate among the 5K and 10K and the 1K Fun Run. Family based events include music, food, and entertainment activities for kids. The 5 km and 10 km races start at 7:30 a.m. and the 1 mi Fun Run starts at 7:35 a.m.
